They consist of an exotic group of islands located in the Caribbean Sea. The U.S. Virgin Islands are composed of three main islands: St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas. Additionally, there are fifty smaller islands, cays, and islets belonging to the Caribbean archipelago.
ITINERARY (8 days)
DAY 1 – Yacht Haven Grande
12:00 pm: Start your itinerary at Yacht Haven Grande in St. Thomas (the crew will arrange transportation and provide information about the meeting point).
Enjoy lunch and snorkeling at Caneel Bay, St. John, USVI.
Then, you can leisurely sail to Maho Bay, St. John. Enjoy an afternoon of paddleboarding or kayaking to explore this magnificent bay. Take a stroll on the beach or snorkel with sea turtles.
DAY 2 – Mary’s Point Whistling Cay
A sumptuous breakfast awaits you upon waking up. After finishing it, you’ll head towards Mary’s Point or Whistling Cay for a guided snorkeling tour, where you can learn about the coral reef ecosystem and identify different fish and corals. At noon, after lunch, relax with a book or enjoy a nap before the second sail of the day to Waterlemon Cay, St. John.
Enjoy a short hike to the Annaberg ruins for a fascinating historical tour. Then, decide whether you prefer to go snorkeling again, indulge in world-class fly fishing in the salt ponds, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquility of the afternoon.
This is a great spot to arrange a night dive around Waterlemon Cay if you’re interested.
DAY 3 – Waterlemon Cay
Breakfast followed by a pleasant hike/snorkeling at Waterlemon Cay (depending on the previous day’s activities) or a quick motor sail to Newfound Bay to try catching Caribbean lobster. A must!
Head to Coral Bay for some refreshing cocktails, tasty tacos, and a fun, festive atmosphere at Lime Out, or sail to Salt Pond Bay for a tranquil afternoon on a beautiful white sand beach surrounded by stunning views.
Other options include snorkeling at Booby Rock, a diving excursion, or hiking Rams Head to appreciate an epic sunset.
DAY 4 – Carvel Rock
Enjoy a morning hike along the Ram’s Head trail. Return to the boat for a relaxing mid-morning sail to either Lovango Cay or Congo Cay. After lunch, dive into the legendary Carvel Rock, searching for old cannonballs and other relics. You might even be lucky enough to spot some local blacktip reef sharks.
Check with the crew about some local cliff-jumping options or try your hand at surfing at Mingo Cay.
Sail at sunset to the world-famous Magens Bay, St. Thomas (depending on the weather) and, as the sun sets, enjoy a swim, paddle, or stroll on St. Thomas’s longest beach.
DAY 5 – Magens Bay
Breakfast followed by water sports! Magens Bay is the perfect spot for wakeboarding, foiling, water skiing, and tubing. Confirm which water sports are included with your boat rental. If you’re seeking some tranquility, escape to one of the smaller beaches for total privacy.
After lunch, enjoy some time on the beach or visit the Magens Bay Beach Bar, Cafe & Boutique for a day of shopping and sipping.
DAY 6 – Little St. James
Motor over to Little St. James for magnificent snorkeling or diving at “Ledges” or “Calf and Cow.” If you’re looking for something different from onboard meals, enjoy lunch at Pizza Pi in Christmas Cove, Great St. James.
In the afternoon, set sail for historic Buck Island in St. Thomas and enjoy a quiet evening, after sunset, learning about its history.
DAY 7 – Water Island
Snorkel at the wreckage of the Cartanza, an old freighter with a fascinating history, or take the dinghy to Turtle Cove for some turtle swimming.
Sail downwind to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island and enjoy lunch onboard. In the afternoon, explore the beach or rent a golf cart to explore the island.
Explore the historic downtown of Charlotte Amalie and enjoy a sunset cocktail. Spend the night anchored in the harbor or stay at the Yacht Haven Grande dock. This is a great night for a farewell party.
DAY 8 – Charlotte Amalie
Arrange a sightseeing tour of historic Charlotte Amalie to visit the Emancipation Gardens and the 99 Steps of the historic Fort Christian, while the crew organizes your transfers to the airport.
